June 9, 2008 by norazihanHelene has tagged me to do a meme. I’m game, so here goes:
1. What was I doing 10 years ago?
I was a technical manager for a multinational firm here in Kuantan, Pahang. Enjoyed contributing to process and quality improvement at my workplace and working with my colleagues.
2. 5 things on today’s to-do list?
*Review history and events in preparation for my case hearing.
*Start a bead project
*Shop for groceries
*Clean up the house
*Call up Ros for wish list
The above is apart to my regular to-do i.e. check email, log on to my Facebook, check favorite pages on internet.
3. Snacks I enjoy?
Salted nuts.. any kind of nuts.. coated or just plain roasted.
4. Things I’d do if I were a billionaire?
I would like to visit Mecca to do my Hajj (Pilgrimage) as I have not able to do it yet. Visit Mecca again and again. And sponsor people to do the Hajj insyaAllah (if God permits)
5. Places I have lived?
Born and grew up in Kuala Lumpur, capital of Malaysia.
Studied at Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon USA (B.Sc. Chem Eng).
Also attended Springs International School, Littleton, Colorado; Arapohoe Community College, Littleton, Colorado; University of Denver, Denver, Colorado while in the States.
Made Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia my home town after 20 years living here
Moved to Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia for 6 months last year.
Business trips to North Carolina USA, Jakarta Indonesia, Phuket Thailand, Tokyo Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore
6. Peeps I want to know more about?
Jann Block
Karen Cattoire
Karen L.Cohen
Lunnette Higdon-Hertel
So you see I’m quite a technical person, very left brained, non the less creative and very imaginative. Loves sports and the the outdoors.
Sun Burst

May 24, 2008 by norazihanSulam Bunga is hard work on soft material like this silk. You have to hold the material lightly and stich to avoid puckering, Found this flower beads and sequence embroidery from a public photo in Photopages. Would like to extend the stiches to the sleeves; unfortunately one of the sleeve do not have the flower. This kebaya is Batik on Korean Silk and thread embroidered at sleeve edges, neck, front openings and around lower hem. As it is already edge embroidered with shiny silver thread, it doesn’t need any bead embroidery there. Can’t wait to see the owner to wear this.

May 22, 2008 by norazihanBaju Kurung Lovers – Recommended Edging – Basic Chain with Sequin Pads
May 18, 2008 by norazihanThis may be my favorite bead edging for baju kurung.
Here edging is around front end neck and around sleeves. Note the front neck slit, the edging is extended well below the slit end. Close up pic show the resulting double edge effect.
In crocheting this pattern is called basic starting chain. Here three colors used blue, green and gold to highlight the chain; blue sequins are used as paddings. I think the result is just sparkling beautiful.
This kurung material is cotton rayon, probably more rayon than cotton.
Ladybead
May 12, 2008 by norazihanManaged to attract Ladybead, local beader, popular findings for manik and beads, here at Sulam Sayang. She has pretty designs in Photopages. Wow… Wished she had commented something as to signing an autograph. Tks MSDNoraini for dropping by.
Darling Danglings
May 8, 2008 by norazihanMy own Crawlers (similar to local Manjalara)
May 2, 2008 by norazihanDeep lavender with slight gold tint you can almost smell it. Why not blue? Dark blue makes the dress (it’s a kebaya moden) gloomy. Why not light blue? It sinks.
This was my last year’s baju raya. It will again be my baju raya this year with a little more bling-bling (glitter.) Last year raya kat KL, this year kat Kelantan insyaAllah.
